Festive Christmas Book Tag + End of the Year Book Tag!

Hello dear readers, and welcome back!! How have you all been?? Winter is definitely in the air here on the East Coast — we had our first snowfall last week, with more to come in the coming days! After 2020’s snow-less December, the weather has been cooperative enough this year to tune up all of the holiday vibes. It’s the perfect time to cozy up with a book, reading by the light of the Christmas tree. 🎄

Unfortunately, I’ve recently been feeling rather slumpy when it comes to reading (I blame Sabaa Tahir and the massive book hangover Sky Beyond the Storm gave me), so instead, I’ve decided that this is the perfect time to complete some seasonal book tags that my amazing fellow bloggers have tagged me for! Thank you so much to Alexis @ The Reading Addict for the Festive Christmas Book Tag, and to A Couple of B’s for the End of the Year Book Tag! ❤️

My Most Anticipated 2021 Releases!

Hello everyone and welcome back!! I hope you’ve all been enjoying your December thus far. As per my promise to not disappear this month like I did in November, I have returned with another post!

As we all know, 2020 has been a handful. There’s no guarantee that 2021 will be any better, but I think I speak for everyone when I say we’re all looking forward to starting on the clean slate that is a brand new year. In recognition of that, today I want to share with you my 23 most anticipated YA releases for 2021! I’m not going to pretend that I’ll have read all of these by the end of next year, but hey, a girl can dream. 😅

The Month(s) in Books: October & November 2020

Hello hello hello everyone!! Happy December! Contrary to all appearances, I have not, in fact, fallen off the face of the earth! Life has been a whirlwind these past two months, but I think everything’s settling into place. Emphasis on I think.

But I’ve been productive in the meantime! I’ve officially jumped on the Toujours bandwagon, and even *gasp* adopted a color scheme! Who knew, maybe graphic design is still an open option for me.

That was sarcasm, by the way.

The Liebster Award — Takes 4 & 5!

Hello everyone, and welcome back! Happy November everyone! At this point, I’m just going to have to resign myself to the fact that I’m going to be posting very irregularly until I get my life together. I know I haven’t even posted an October wrap-up yet… and I’ve decided that I should continue procrastinating while I’m at it 😅🤷‍♀️ So be on the lookout for a combined October-November wrap at the end of this month!

Instead, I thought it was about time I started catching up on the million tags I’m behind on! Thank you so much to Nefeli @ BiblioNebula and Becky @ Dusts of Magic for nominating me for the Liebster Award 🥰 For all of you who are reading this, go check both of their blogs out and give them some love — they’re both amazing people! I can’t wait to start answering their wonderful questions!

Review: Soothsayer by Kathryn Amurra

Hello and welcome — you know what, fixed-in-stone openings are overrated. I AM ALIVE FOLKS. I have been an abysmal blogger as of late; I haven’t posted in almost 2 weeks, which is a record for me 😬 In my defense, school life has been pretty fraught recently. Tests, quizzes, endless assignments, projects, grades, the subsequent and inevitable mental breakdowns… you know the drill.

But hey, I’m back! Equipped with a book review, at that! Soothsayer was a fantastic read, and I can’t wait to share my thoughts about it with you all!

Review: Skyhunter by Marie Lu

Did someone say Marie Lu? Because I heard Marie Lu, and I. came. running.

I confess that I haven’t read anything from this author other than her debut, the Legend trilogy, but as soon as I saw that her newest release had been added to Libby, I knew I had to snatch it up. And can I just a take moment to compliment myself on how soon after release I was able to read this book *pats myself on the back* 🤗😌

Anyway. I may or may not have forgotten how to write a review over the past couple of weeks, but let’s see how well I can describe all the reasons I loved this book.

The Liebster Award — Take 3!

Hello everyone, and welcome back! I hope you’re all having a beautiful day so far. The lovely MT @ The Last Book On The Left nominated me for the Liebster Award last month!! Thank you so much, MT!! It wouldn’t be an award post without me sobbing over how amazing this community is, and as this is already the third time I’ve been nominated for this award, I think this calls for some extra-profuse weeping 🥰🥺😭

12 Books With Beautiful Sibling Relationships 😍

Hello everyone, and welcome back! I’m back with my newest obsession! So over the weekend, I watched this video from Amy’s Youtube channel (which all of you musical theatre fans should definitely check out by the way), and it convinced me to go listen to Starry. I listened to the original concept recording over the weekend, and I am just… so in love. Why aren’t more people talking about this?
