Hello everyone, and welcome back! Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day!! I’m back with another recommendations post. I recently watched the Nigerian novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s TED Talk on the danger of a single story (which you should all go check out) and her message really stuck with me. And today happens to be the perfect day to dive right back into this discussion.Continue reading “7 Historical Fiction Books that Tell a Different Story”

Hello everyone, and welcome back! I’m back with my newest obsession! So over the weekend, I watched this video from Amy’s Youtube channel (which all of you musical theatre fans should definitely check out by the way), and it convinced me to go listen to Starry. I listened to the original concept recording over the weekend, and I am just… so in love. Why aren’t more people talking about this?Continue reading “12 Books With Beautiful Sibling Relationships 😍”
Another day, another destiny!
Wait, that’s not it. What I meant to say was —
Another month, another wrap-up! Can you believe that we’re already in the last quarter of the year? But honestly, September was one of the few months of 2020 that seemed to last forever. It was an eventful month for me in a lot of ways. For one, I started online school, and my stress levels haven’t just hit the ceiling, they’ve rocketed to the moon and back 😱😭😂 And I’m still getting the hang of fitting in blogging into the mix, so bear with me if you don’t see as much content from me in October!
But I’ll save any further ramblings for the actual post. So without further ado, let’s get into September’s monthly wrap-up!Continue reading “The Month in Books: September 2020”
Hello everyone, and welcome back! Fall is in the air! The weather is turning crisp and cool (at least here in the Northern Hemisphere) and I got the chance to see some beautiful beginnings of autumn foliage when I went apple picking with my family over the weekend. So I’ve come equipped today with just the right type of blog post — the Finally Fall Book Tag! Thank you so much to Alexis @ The Reading Addict for tagging me, and let’s get right into it!Continue reading “The Finally Fall Book Tag!”
Hello everyone, and welcome back! We are now officially in the season of fall!

I love sharing my reading habits with you guys, so this sounds really fun 😆 Thank you so much for tagging me, Emily, and let’s get right into it!

I didn’t know it was possible, but it apparently is.
I don’t make the rules. 🤷♀️Continue reading “Review: The Silence of Bones by June Hur”

I’ve missed writing full-length reviews. I cannot believe that the last one I wrote was nearly a month ago. I blame mini-reviews and how addicting they are.
But fortunately, I’m back with my review of Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim, which I enjoyed immensely, much more than I was expecting to. Come for the Chinese culture and Maia’s Mulan-esque character arc, stay for the sizzling romance and the quest.Continue reading “Review: Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim”
